Hi, I'm Clara — founder and creative director of C for Romance.
This brand exists because of my grandmother.
When I was young, she used to sew bags for me and my fifteen cousins — each one with our name stitched on, so we could carry our things and tidy up our toys during summers at her house. She was, and still is, the most beautiful person I have ever known, inside and out.
C for Romance is my way of honoring her. Every bag I make carries a piece of that memory — the quilting, the monogram, the idea that something so simple could be made with so much love. It's the only way I know how to say thank you: by making something as beautiful as she was.
