Hi, I'm Clara — founder and creative director of C for Romance.

This tote bag brand exists because of my late grandmother, and my passion for European romantic, hand-painted motifs.

When I was young, she used to sew dust bags and pouches for my cousins and me— each one stitched with our name, so we could carry our things and tidy up our toys during summers at her countryside house. 

That's why every bag you purchase comes with a beautifully embroidered soft cotton pouch, as a small thank you.

C for Romance is my way of honoring her. Every tote bag I handcraft carries a piece of that summer memory — the rich quilted cotton fabric, the monogram, and the idea that something as simple as a personalised tote bag to carry your everyday belongings could be made with so much love, care, and detail.
